Caliper First Step for Help Desk - An invaluable aid to recruiting the right people!
September 2005
The Caliper tests evaluate the potential of the candidate to succeed in your particular position. We have used them for nearly two years and over this time have seen that they are very accurate way of determining who has the attributes required to perform successfully as part of our Helpdesk.
First Step tests the qualities we find fundamental for a first class helpdesk agent. These are diligence, empathy, helpfulness, problem solving, confidence, sociability and assertiveness. They are intangible attributes that are difficult to ascertain without an extremely lengthy recruitment process. First Step takes a maximum of 30 minutes and gives you clear measured results with a detailed analysis.
On the few occasions where we have recruited someone whose test results were not ideal they have struggled to meet our high standards once in the job. Our statistics show that those who “pass” the Caliper First Step with flying colours are far more likely to succeed on our Helpdesk and stay longer. So Caliper helps reduce the guess work in recruitment and helps lower your attrition rates.
