One Day Workshop

Selecting the right people to work for you and for your company is one of the most important decisions you will make at work. The purpose of the workshop is to enable you to carry out effective selection interviews so that you choose the most appropriate people. The style of the workshop will be informal, highly participative and practical. It will involve discussions, group activities, exercises and practise sessions.

By the end of the workshop you will be able to:

• Identify essential requirements for a specific role.
• Analyse application forms and CVs to assess suitability and identify areas for probing at interviews.
• Structure and conduct an effective interview to explore all relevant areas and present a positive image of the company.
• Use structured questioning techniques to draw out evidence of a candidate's past experience and objectively assess their potential to perform well in the role.
• Make balanced and objective selection decisions.
